Chocolate Cake Mix Banana Donut Holes

Choc. cake mix banana donut holes These chocolate cake mix banana donut holes, are a fun snack anytime of the day!  I wanted to try something different with our ripe bananas.  These were a hit with our son, Landon!  These are dusted with powdered sugar, have mini chocolate chips and sprinkles baked right into them. These were baked in my cake pop/donut hole maker.  My donut hole maker can bake, only six at a time.  Which takes a while to bake up a batch of these.  If you’re thinking of getting one, I would recommend buying two donut hole maker machines.  Or, find one that can make more than six at a time.  You could also use a mini muffin pan to bake these, too.      049I had my little helper mashing the bananas and prepare the batter!  He was so eager to taste test these donut holes. He kept stealing them from my photo shoot!   This recipe makes a lot of donut holes.  You’ll want to share them with others.  074 We used a simple paper bag and added powdered sugar to the bottom.  Added warm banana donut holes to the bag and shake, to dust them in powdered sugar!  Fun, but a little messy.  Anything with powdered sugar is messy.  I try really hard not to make a mess, but it happens anyway.   You could make it fun for the kids!  Give each child their own paper bag with powdered sugar and shake their own donut holes.  They would enjoy doing it themselves and helping out.  Tell them, “It’s time for the donut shake dance!”  That will put a smile on their faces!    This recipe has bananas and white wheat flour, so that’s pretty healthy.  Oh, and only 2 Tablespoons of oil in the entire batch!  You can feel good about giving these to the kids as a snack!   076
